TEA Gardens Slipway Association held its Annual General Meeting on Sunday, 10 November 2019 at the Tea Gardens Hotel, which resulted in the return of the Association’s management committee with numbers being bolstered by the addition of Neil Bacon making a total of ten committee members.

Mr Paul Bendy, President of the Association, thanked the members for their attendance and support throughout this challenging year and also expressed his appreciation for the support received from the general community during the recent temporary closure and further thanked MidCoast Council for their backing during this period and their recognition of the importance of this vital community asset.
Good news is the slipway has been able to continue operating due to the installation of temporary modifications to the satisfaction of the various state government departments.
In addition, is the approval of the Slipway’s Development Application for the complete upgrade of the facility with applications for funding well underway and expressions of interest are being sought for the construction phase of this important community facility.
Mr Bendy also emphasized the importance for maintaining the Slipway’s marine emergency response facility for the towns, which can only be good news for the boating public and the area in general.
