Tours included the Aviation Museum at Temora, the Catania Fruit Salad Farm, Calabria Winery and Riverina Grove while staying in Griffith.

In Leeton the Rocking Horse Museum and the old Roxy Cinema Complex still operates built around the same time as Parramatta Roxy Theatre were of much interest.

Through Whitton, such an old town with courthouse, museum and railway station. Devastation showed throughout the tour for the farmers on the land due to drought.

In Weethalle we viewed the Painted Grain Silos before arriving in Forbes calling into McFeeters Car Museum staying overnight in Parkes and experiencing the ‘Dish’ next morning before heading back home.

What an unforgettable tour we all enjoyed and do thank the Port Stephens Coaches for their very much appreciated itinerary.

The Port Stephens Friendship Group meets at 5.00pm on the last Tuesday of each month at the Wests Diggers, Nelson Bay.
