21 SWIMMERS from Coffs Harbour Swimming Club travelled to Taree last weekend to compete in the first carnival of the season as community sport continues to open up.

Although the Club only recently returned to club training the juniors posted impressive times showing their determination to get back into racing.

Despite lockdowns and postponements of community sport, the swimming club exceeded expectations posting personal bests across the board as coach Daniel Bannerman explained.

“The start of the season was delayed due to restrictions with community sport affecting the state.

“Despite the delayed start with the season all the swimmers produced personal best times with some also achieving Country and State qualifying times.

“Over the coming weeks will see more opportunities for racing with the Crescent Head carnival this weekend and the North Coast championship on 10 and 11 December,” said Daniel.
