There has been an excellent response by members including a few ladies who are very keen to hook up and land a catch. David is making the fishing days interesting with lunches, and 4WD bus trips being added to the calendar. There are also possible plans for an away fishing trip; the list is well thought out and will keep the fishing people very busy. Fishing Probus Member, David Long told News Of The Area, “Catching a fish is a bit of a lucky dip at times but on our last venture on Friday 13, proved good luck as I landed a decent sized catch.” Next month, weather permitting, the Probus Club members are off in boats from Soldiers Point after a light lunch at the Boatshed. “This fishing lark is a very social affair as are all the activities in this friendly mixed-gender club,” he said. The Probus Club of Port Stephens invites the community to come along to a meeting at Nelson Bay Bowling Club on the second Thursday of the month at 9.30am in the Nelson Room to find out about the great activities that Probus offers.
