Palm Lake Resort Tea Gardens
PALM Lake Resort Tea Gardens recently held a Novice Singles Bowls Tournament for those residents who had been playing bowls under 12 months.
It was played over a five week period with the winners advancing to the next round.
The quality of the bowls played left the experienced bowlers stunned.
The eventual winners were Elizabeth Bennett who defeated Ruth Newbery and Tony Coomer who defeated Len Gough in the finals.
Elizabeth started playing in late May 2016 and Tony in mid November 2016.
Both games were very exciting for the spectators who are to be commended for their support of the event.
Congratulations to the winners and to everyone who entered the tournament.
