The event will be held at Nelson Bay Golf Club on 5 April and will recognise the sponsors of the event over the years.

The event has moved from November to April.

Golf Day Chair, Arja Levonpera said, “Nelson Bay Rotary Club recognised the demands put on local business to support a wide variety of community fundraising events.”

The Club’s two key sponsors Port Stephens Toyota and Holiday World Travel will be sponsoring two hole in one prizes.

Port Stephens Toyota will be providing a Toyota Yaris for a hole in one on the eleventh hole and Holiday World a $10,000 travel voucher for a Hole in One on the eighth hole.

Players at the Ambrose event will enjoy golf and a meal at the end of the round included in the players entry fee.

Players can register to participate in the Rotary Club of Nelson Bay Golf Day for $75 at Nelson Bay Golf Club.

Over the 28 years the tournament has raised around $270,000 which has gone into community projects.

In 2018 funds were also put towards Australia’s drought relief program a cause which is still impacting many Australians.
