FIONA Morrison is a resident from Raymond Terrace who is currently acting as a surrogate to Josh and Jack Bowman-Pinnock, AKA, ‘The Sydney Dads’.

With two children, Fiona loved being pregnant, and had considered surrogacy for many years before she began to research options in February 2019.

In May 2019, Fiona met Josh and Jack and knew that it would be a great match.

“One day I finally just said to myself that I wanted to do this.

“I jumped online and started to do my research.

“After one surrogacy match fell through, I started chatting to Josh and absolutely knew that I wanted to give them a baby,” Fiona said.

“I knew that with a male couple it would be completely different because they don’t understand pregnancy and labour, they have no expectations.

“It would be life-changing for not only them, but for myself and my children too.”

Fiona spoke to News Of The Area about breaking down the stigma of what ‘normal’ is.

“I want my children to understand that there is no ‘norm’ when it comes to modern families now.

“There are families with divorced parents, single parents and same-sex couples deserve a family too,” she said.

“It’s surprising to see how supportive people are, especially when they get to know the boys.

“People start following our story and start to realise how lovely they (the boys) are.

“I know that they are going to be great parents,” she said.

After choosing an American egg donor from the World Egg Bank, the embryo transfer was successful in July 2020, resulting in a positive pregnancy.

The baby is due on Easter Saturday and we wish Fiona the best of luck with her labour.
