Van to visit Woolgoolga to assist with Centrelink needs

WOOLGOOLGA residents can put off heading to Coffs Harbour for their Centrelink and Medicare enquiries, with the Australian Government Mobile Service Centre heading to the town next week.

The ‘Golden Wattle’ Mobile Service Centre will be stationed in Fawcett Street, Woolgoolga, near the Skate Park on Wednesday 17 February from 9am to 4pm, and Thursday 18 February from 9am to 3pm.

Staff at the Mobile Service Centre can help customers with Centrelink payments, updating customer information, certifying certificates, accessing Self Service Terminals, and assist with using online accounts and Express Plus Medicare and Express Plus Centrelink mobile apps.

Residents can also obtain information about how financial matters may impact their payments, payment and service options to suit their needs, medicare transactions, medicare registrations, social work support and referrals, and Department of Veteran’s Affairs programs and support services for veterans and their families.

Older Australians, families, students, job seekers, people with a disability, carers, farmers and self employed people are all encouraged to access the mobile service centre while it is in town.

The Mobile Service Centre is currently travelling around the North Coast region, and will also stop in Nana Glen on 23 February from 9am to 4pm near Idle In Cafe, Nana Street.
