The ladies of the sewing and quilting group have raffled off one of their beautiful creations and raised $1,200 in the process.

It took many months and many hands to stitch the quilt before founding member Joan Wilcox drew the winning raffle ticket.

Tristan Hughes, the grandson of another member, Jenny Hughes, was the lucky winner.

The ladies of the Myall Community Art and Craft Centre, Quilting and Sewing group would like to thank all those who bought a ticket.

The funds will now go towards a new quilting machine for the sewing room.

The Sewing and Quilting group meets every Wednesday and Thursday at the Craft centre.

Up to 30 people go along each week to enjoy the friendship, learning and creativity the centre has on offer.

New members are always welcome.

There are also mosaic groups as well as art, knitting and woodwork classes or you can spin and weave, try lead lighting or sculpture.

For more information on groups and class times head to their website: myallartandcraft.com.au or phone 49970270.

The Myall Art and Craft Centre is holding its General Meeting at 245 Myall Street, Tea Gardens (behind the Visitors Information Centre) on Saturday 8 April at 2pm.
