The scholarships, valued at up to $20,000 over four years, include a new laptop computer, home internet access, face-to-face tutoring and mentoring along with cash to help with other school expenses.

The HMEF scholarships aim to provide tools and support to lift the educational achievements and career aspirations of girls with high potential.

Zahli and Amia are amongst 136 students from across Australia to receive HMEF scholarships this year who were selected from over 400 applications.

“We are incredibly excited for these outstanding young achievers and look forward to being alongside them and coaching them every step of the way through the next four years, as they learn and grow through high school,” Harding Miller Education Foundation said of the girls.

Zahli Conroy said, “I am very fortunate to have been selected for the scholarship. The laptop and other resources are very useful, particularly while learning from home during the pandemic.”

“With the assistance the scholarship provides, I am going to keep working hard and achieve the best I can,” Zahli said.
