HSC Examinations wrapped up last week bringing an end to 13 years of school for more than 70,000 NSW students. Tea Gardens teen Charli Burns said she felt relieved when it was time to put her pen down in her final exam. As the only student from Bulahdelah Central School enrolled in the Community and Family Studies Course, Charli said she felt a little nervous going into the three-hour examination on her own. Or media@newsofthearea.com.au Or CLICK FOR ADVERT QUOTE “It felt like a lot more pressure being in there by myself with just the supervisors,” she said. “But once I started writing, I remembered everything I had learnt and was comfortable getting it all down on paper.” Charli told News Of The Area her advice for future Year 12 students is to stay calm. “The exams aren’t as daunting as I thought they were going to be, you just need to do your best and don’t stress too much,” she said. Finishing the HSC is a significant milestone and Port Stephens MP Kate Washington offered her congratulations to all students who have completed their exams. “To have stuck at your schooling until the end is a great achievement in itself. Now, the next chapter of your lives begin,” she said. “So, take a breath, take strength from your achievements and go forward with confidence.” “The path ahead is yours to design,” Ms Washington added.
