Myall Community Art and Craft Centre Open Days

The Myall Community Art and Craft Centre.

FOR those wanting to connect with the community and explore your creativity, there are some great open days and classes coming your way.

Elsa Jones of the Myall Community Art and Craft Centre told News Of The Area, “This year instead of having just one Open Day for locals and visitors to come and see just what we are about, the Centre Management has decided to have a whole week of Open Days to show off all the classes which people can attend.

“All classes throughout the week will have someone in attendance to talk about what goes on, with some participation of visitors if required.”

There are a host of classes being held at the centre, located at 245 Myall St Tea Gardens, from Monday 15 May to Friday 19 May from 10 am to 1.00pm.

Monday is Open Day Craft Group where the focus will be on art, ceramics and decorative works.

Tuesday will showcase spinning, weaving, knitting, woodwork, wood turning and stained glass.

On Wednesday it will be patchwork, quilting and picture framing.

Thursday will showcase wood craft, leatherwork, soft crafts and braided rug making.

The Friday’s classes will focus on mosaics and printmaking.

“We all look forward to seeing lots of people who may have similar interests with a view to joining the Centre to practice their particular talent or just to learn something new,” Elsa said.
