1. OVER the past six months Police had received numerous calls from members of the public regarding the excessive noise of loud music emitting from a unit block in Ridge Street, Nambucca Heads.

A 24-year-old man at the residence was the subject of three Noise Abatement Directions since May 2021 and had been issued with no less than three infringements for breaching those directions. On 23/10/21 at about 11:30pm Police executed a search warrant at the premises and seized a stereo system.

The accused man has been issued with a Court Attendance Notice to appear before Macksville Local Court on 9/12/21 for the offence of ‘Make noise within 28 days of noise abatement direction’.

2. On 27/10/21 at about 4:05am Police were alerted to an injured cow causing an obstruction to traffic on the Bald Hill Rd off ramp of the Pacific Highway.

The cow appeared to have been struck by an unknown vehicle and had sustained significant injuries to its legs and was unable to stand.

Police were required to euthanise the animal and were assisted with traffic control by personnel from TMC until the carcass could be removed.

3. On 28/10/21 at about 5:08pm Police arrested a 41-year-old woman in Coffs Harbour following enquiries related to a domestic violence incident that had occurred earlier the same date at a Macksville address.

The accused woman was charged at Coffs Harbour Police Station with breaching an AVO and was refused bail to appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court on 29/10/21.

The accused woman was subsequently given court bail with the matter now adjourned to Macksville Local Court on 18/11/21.

4. On 24/10/21 at about 9:40am Police arrested a 34-year-old man at a Tewinga address following enquiries related to a domestic violence incident that had occurred during the early hours of the same morning.

The accused man was charged at Macksville Police Station with an Intimidation offence and was released on bail to appear before Macksville Local Court on 4/11/21.
