WHERE do you catch fish in the Nambucca valley?

Locals all have their favourite spots and they do not always want to share such information.

So keep your eyes peeled and you just might see where the good size fish are getting caught.

Spotted last week at Deep Creek, Valla Beach was Greg Artlett landing a brim and Michael Ferris a nice flathead, both within fifteen minutes of each other and both using lures not bait.

They chose to stand in the water and fish the edge of the sand bank.

At the Valla Lions Reserve there are many options.

Apart from wading in the water you can fish from the bank, off the bridge or venture over the sand dunes to the beach.

The weather has been variable so prepare accordingly whether it be sun protection or rain gear and get in early before the holiday makers arrive and compete with you.
