At a cost of $95 per person or $900 for a table of ten, there will be champagne served on arrival followed by a three-course menu and music by Nick Fils. With a Black Tie dress code, the night will be full of entertainment and dancing. The event is all in aid of a good cause, with money raised supporting the local Tomaree Breast Cancer Support Group. This charity was selected to support as PSWIB have been supporting it for many years and consider is a vital supportive community group for women and their carers impacted by breast cancer. PSWIB are calling for prize donations from local businesses to raise funds for the charity. Any local business who has a product or service that can be raffled or auctioned contact Ms Kerri Rodley. Ms Leah Anderson was instrumental in establishing the networking group. As the group approaches its tenth year anniversary, Ms Anderson told News Of The Area, “I commenced working as the local bank manager at Westpac Nelson Bay ten years ago.” “I was eager to get stuck into some networking.” “It was then that I embarked on a journey to form a networking group for women that was a friendly and non-pressured environment.” “I had some discussions with a few local ladies, and together we then formed Port Stephens Women In Business.” Ms Anderson was the founder and President for the first five years and is now a lifetime member.
