Stall holders still needed for the Bulahdelah Secondhand and Collectibles Market

THE Bulahdelah Memorial Hall has been at the centre of life in town for almost 80 years.

This month the hall will be holding a ‘secondhand and collectibles market’.

The committee is hoping to see a great deal more on the stall tables including antiques, recycled goods, home grown produce and handicrafts.

The market is to be held inside and out at the War Memorial Hall on 72 Crawford Street on March 27.

The hall and surrounds will be pressed into service to hold the stalls and car boot sales.

Anyone hoping to take part will still find stalls available inside for $10 per table.

Those hoping to open their car boot need only provide a gold coin donation.

Nothing has been missed from the plans for a great day out.

Live music will be on from 11 to get feet tapping and will continue into the afternoon.

There will also be food available for purchase from 12pm.

As with all things in our world today the committee have had to take pains to make the event COVID safe.

The challenges of COVID safe events though are secondary to getting the hall back in use.

“If you have a community hall then the hall needs to be used.

“It should be used to bring the community together,” said Lisa Nebayer, the Bulahdelah Memorial Hall Committee’s Publicity Officer.

“We haven’t had anything for a long time and this will be a good way for us to do other things in future.”

Already the hall is back to holding regular yoga sessions under the benefit of recently purchased new lights and fans.

The funds raised from this event will be used to pay for a new projector for future film nights.

Prospective stall holders and car boot sellers can contact Lisa Nebayer on 0403 244 884.
