Also under discussion, the widening of 3 boat ramps and additional pontoon space suggested under the Boating Now program. “The idea of a Reference group gives community a voice,” said Reference Group spokesman Gordon Grainger. “There’s moves afoot to have one for Hawks Nest,” he added. MidCoast Council is also hitting the road with a series of community meetings. Interim General Manager Glenn Handford and key staff will be at the Bulahdelah School of Arts on Tuesday 8 November at 6pm and at the Tea Gardens Baptist Church on Wednesday 9 November 6pm.
