Vicki and Maynie proceeded to thrill the spectators with a magnificent display of draw-bowling.

The game went to 30 ends. By the ninth end Vicki had a lead of 14 shots. This was to be the highest difference in the score for the game.

At the 14th end, after some great bowling, Maynie was winning by two shots. For the next six ends play was fairly even, but Vicki regained the lead by six shots on the 20th end.

Maynie fought back, the score on the 28th end was Maynie 144 v Vicki 136. But this game was definitely not over, Vicki scoring 9 on the 29th end making the score even both at 145 shots.

By this stage spectators were sitting on the edge of their seats. The 30th end would see the end of the competition and there can only be one winner.

The final result had Vicki Rankin 151 defeating Maynie Roberts 149.

Congratulations Vicki and to both competitors your skilful bowling was a pleasure to watch.

Thanks to Umpire Kathie Rimmer, controlling body Karen Green and marker Robyn Webster.
