Dear News Of The Area,
Once again, Sue and Joe Douglas and their band of volunteers, managed to put on a wonderful Christmas luncheon for those in the district who do not have family to spend the day with.

They gave up their day to provide a few hours of fun and companionship and for that we are truly grateful.
We know that Sue and Joe were to travel to Sydney after the event and this makes it all the more special for us.
What with all the shopping, wrapping of gifts and baskets as well as the meal preparation, this must have made the couple of days that followed very tiring for them.
From all of us at the luncheon, many thanks again for an enjoyable meal and all the gifts everyone went home with.
By the look of all the presents that were in the hall, the business people of the district were very generous as well as the monetary donations that were given toward the cost of the day.
If those of us who went home with a hamper don’t want to keep the basket, Sue would love to have them given back to her to use again next Christmas as this lessens the cost of buying them.
Only one person went home with a red face as when she was walking out to go home, who lost their half-slip around her feet when the elastic broke?
