On Friday, 2 November, the Primary faculty hosted Bulahdelah Central School’s annual Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day. This year, the decision was made to hold this celebration later in the year to better coincide with National Grandparent’s Day which was Sunday, 28 October.

Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day celebrated the role grandparents and older people play in our society – both things they have done, and the things they keep doing.

Each class showcased an item and the K/1/2 classes decorated the hall with their artworks dedicated to their Grandparents and Special Friends.

Talented performers then enjoyed fruit platters and their lunchtime with their special guests.

Thanks and appreciation go out to all staff and students who were involved in the organisation of the celebration.

The School Learning Support Officers (SLSOs) who helped throughout the day, the P&C members who contributed various yummy treats and assisted with the catering set up.

Hayley Nicholson – Relieving Assistant Principal said, “Also, a big thank you to our special guests who made the entire day worthwhile. We valued your presence on the day and look forward to celebrating the special people in our students’ lives again next year.”
