In all seriousness, the day was a special event for the Medowie Seniors Club, and a wonderful time was had by all in attendance, with larger than expected crowds.

The fashions and accessories on the day were provided by ‘Donna-Lou Fashions’ of Toukley.

Four Medowie Seniors Club members did a wonderful job with volunteering as models for the day: Marj Hollis, Greetje Sargent, Joan Connolly and Janice Goldsmith, who all did a fantastic job.

An impressive crowd of approximately 80 people attended the event.

They came from Medowie, Tilligerry and Raymond Terrace, as well as many visitors from further afar.

Medowie Seniors Club representative Norma Creek told News Of The Area, “It was a wonderful day for our members, and we had a lot of fun and met some new faces too.”

“We’d like to thank News Of The Area because we believe some of those new faces found out about the event through our story in the paper prior.”
“Thank you to all the ladies who attended and made the day a success.”

Donna-Lou donated a gift voucher to the Club for the day, which was won by Lorraine Ball, a visitor from Tilligerry RSL Women’s Auxiliary.

The Medowie Seniors Club Vice President Cath Rollason did a fantastic job of putting together a Mother’s Day Raffle, which was won by Jen Crimmond also of Tilligerry RSL Auxiliary.

A reminder to all that Medowie Seniors meet on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 10am in the Medowie Community Hall.
They are always looking for new members to join in the fun and friendship of the group, and would like to remind you that you are an ‘eligible’ senior at only 50 years of age.
