Bailey Middletone, Nerong boy, receives community thoughts, help and funds

On Sunday 19 April the Grange RSL Lifecare resort held a Sausage Sizzle and Raffle to raise funds for the Appeal for Bailey Middleton, one of the children seriously injured in the fuel explosion at Nerong some weeks back.

On Thursday the Grange also hosted a movie morning as part of the fundraising campaign.

Veronica Hoare decided that she would, in conjunction with RSL Lifecare, run this fundraiser to assist the family with ongoing medical and other costs associated with Baileys’ rehabilitation.

The Movie Morning, Raffle and Sausage Sizzle raised $1613.00 and this was presented to the family representative Julie Quayle on Thursday 23 April 2015.

A big thank you must go to all of the residents at the Grange who made donations to the appeal and to the RSL Lifecare for their support.

Many thanks also go to Kelly’s Bakery at Hawks Nest for supplying the bread, and to a number of sub committees within the Grange for their generous donations.

Finally a thank you to all the residents who assisted on the day.

  1. Hi, I am wanting to get in contact with Julie Quayle as she is an old family friend. I am so amazed I came across this news feed and noticed her! Is there any way you could get her to contact me? Thanks!
