LOCALS and regular users of Pindimar Road at Tea Gardens are calling for a reduction in the 100 kilometre speed limit.
It follows a number of reports of near misses on the road which has no dividing line.
A local mum of two, who does not want to be named, said she had her children in the car recently when she was nearly run off the road.
On Anzac Day last year, a 53 year old man was killed when his vehicle left Pindimar Road and crashed down an embankment.

Meantime, MidCoast Council road crews have been carrying out resealing works in Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest.
“The $300,000 project involved 1.05km of road rehabilitation, a 300 metre reseal and 60 metres of construction, providing improved access for residents of both Limekilns and Cooma Street,” Council’s Manager Operations Jamie Condie said.
“Binda, Booner, Langi, Mirreen, Moola Streets, Flamingo Avenue and Moira Parade have also been resealed at a cost of approximately $119,000.”
“Reseals are a cost-effective method to protect the road from water penetration, extending the life of the road,” Mr Condie added.
Pre-Christmas kerb and guttering works and the final stage of a piped drainage system have now recommenced on Marine Drive at Tea Gardens.
