It is a ticketed event with all proceeds going to the Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Surf Life Saving Club.

Closer to Christmas, the Baptist Church is holdings its annual Family Christmas Carols on Sunday 23 December from 6.30pm.

There’s also a free sausage sizzle starting at 5.30pm.

“A special feature this year, is a nativity Interactive Display where children can dress up as shepherds, angels or sheep and be part of the nativity,” Sue Roberts said.

“The costumes are supplied and parents will need to bring a camera to take photos during the sausage sizzle.”

Sue said, “All are invited to come along and join in the carol singing.”

“Glow sticks will be provided to add atmosphere particularly when “Silent Night” is sung.”

“Come along and be treated to an evening of carol singing, stories and festive fun as we prepare for Christmas to celebrate the birth of Jesus,” Sue said.

“If you can’t make it to the Carols why not pop along to one of the local churches this Christmas and you can be assured of a festive welcome and they would love to see you.”
