TWENTY-FIVE members and friends of the local Christmas Bush Garden Club spent a delightful three days visiting The Botanical Gardens, Barangaroo, several nurseries, a Bonsai Garden and Tauren Point Outlook Stores for ample and welcome retail therapy.

THE ” Toastrack” vehicle provided welcome dry transport for some of the members over the 22 hectare headland park on a showery Sydney day.

Top volunteer guides were provided at Barangaroo and The Gardens and the group marvelled at the history and significance of these iconic venues.

The most knowledgeable bus driver carefully explained current and historical details throughout the inner city and suburbs and there were no grumbles regarding the additional weight of purchases on board.

Accommodation at The Courtyard Marriott North Ryde was superb.

This trip was seamlessly organised by Daphne Smith who was warmly thanked by Garden Club President, Kathy Mead.
