Shops were abuzz selling last minute gifts to local lovers, the food court aromas delighted the nose, and local pianist Alex Hall was present to provide a musical accompaniment to the afternoon.

“I’m excited to be playing here,” Alex told News of the Area.

“I’m looking forward to playing here more in the future.”

From 4:20pm on Thursday shoppers were fortunate enough to enjoy this free entertainment which included classical pieces all the way through to more contemporary tunes such as Let It Be from the Beatles.

Smartly dressed in black, Alex commanded a prime position in the shopping centre.

While Alex admires the skills of industry giants like Freddie Mercury, Billy Joel, and Elton John he regards his music teacher Ammiel Warner from Xpression Music in Medowie as his musical hero.

The skill Alex displayed on the keyboard is a testament to the talent of his teacher as well as his own dedication to his craft.

Alex Hall is a shining example of talented young people we have right here in our local area.

For information on when Alex will be performing again contact centre management at Marketplace Raymond Terrace on 4987 7799.
