Tea Gardens Hawks player fell awkwardly in a tackle

A scare at the weekends Rugby League game at Myall Park Tea Gardens, when Hawks player Jack Beverley was injured 15 minutes into the game.

Jack plays Hooker and was attacking the line when he was tackled around the legs.

Another player came over the top and Jack landed awkwardly.

Coach Neil Reynolds said, “A crack was heard, and he had pain in his neck and upper back.”

“He was managed by the Clubs First Aid Officer while awaiting an ambulance,” said Mr Reynolds.

Play was delayed while Jack had medical attention.

He was transported by ambulance to hospital.

Mr Reynolds told Myall Coast News that Jack is okay.

“He sustained soft tissue damage to the back and neck,” said Mr Reynolds.
